Meet The Teachers

All parents are invited to Meet The Teachers on Thursday September 10th. This is an opportunity to find out about what your child will be learning this term and about class routines such as homework. In the past it has proved to be a valuable meeting which enables all children to make a positive start to the school year. Each session will be for 20 minutes and times for these meetings are as follows:

Class 1 – 3.30-3.50

Class 2 – 3.50-4.10

Class 3 – 4.10-4.30

Class 4 – 4.30-4.50

We do hope that you can join us.

First Family Assembly

We were delighted that so many of you were able to join us for the first Family assembly of the year. Family assembly is held on the first Friday of every month and parents , families and friends of Kilby School are warmly invited to join us.

Thanks to Jonny Hutton of the Arnesby Chapel for his input at all our Friday assemblies.

Lion’s Charity Swim

Each year we take part in the Charity Swim organised by the Oadby and Wigston Lions. Money raised is shared between the Lion’s charities and our school. In the past we have successfully raised money for essential equipment and this year we would like to put any monies raised towards a pirate ship for our playground. If you would like your child to take part please collect a letter from the school office.

Links with China

We were pleased to welcome Darren, a student from China who visited our school on Thursday 3rd September to lead a PE session for the pupils in Classes 3 and 4. The children were thrilled to have this opportunity and took part enthusiastically.

During the school year we hold two Church Services on a Sunday. These are Harvest and Christingle. These services include performances from the pupils and all families are warmly invited to join us. It is a lovely opportunity to feel part of the Church community. Please make a note of the dates: Harvest Sunday 27th September 2015 at 3pm and Christingle Sunday 6th December 2015  at 3pm
