Enrichment Afternoon

We had a fabulous afternoon of fun with the help of parents and grandparents on our enrichment afternoon. Pupils could choose from cooking, gardening, designing T shirts, creating comic heroes, playing games and sports or learning how to knit. Thank you to everyone who helped on this successful afternoon.

Class 3 Teachers

Mrs Morris and Mrs Wilmott-Bradshaw have been appointed to teach in Class 3, starting in the Autumn term. Both are very experienced teachers who will make a positive contribution to Kilby St Mary’s. The children in Years 3 and 2 will have the opportunity to meet their teachers on Monday 6th July at our move on up morning.

Goodbye Mrs Commons

We held a farewell assembly for Mrs Commons to say thank you for everything she has contributed to Kilby St Mary’s. Mrs Commons has retired from teaching and we wish her well in the future.

Father’s Day Assembly

Our Special Father’s Day assembly on Friday 19th June was extremely well attended with standing room only in the hall. Our pupils sang songs and performed poems about their Dads, some of which made our audience laugh and some of which brought tears their eyes. This was followed by cream teas and then an opportunity for Dads and Granddads to spend some time in the classrooms, sharing books or games with their children or grandchildren.

Stars and Stripes Carnival

I look forward to seeing you and your families and friends at our Summer Fair on Saturday 4th July at 12-2pm. Please come along to support the excellent work of the Friends of Kilby Parents group.
